Dritto dal cuore é l'unico album dei The Next Diffusion, uscito il 15 Luglio 1995 per Crime Squad.
Il disco
Il disco é considerato una delle pietre miliari dell'intero movimento musicale italiano. Composto da ventitré tracce, tutte prodotte da The Next One, il disco vede le metriche dei due MCs Maury B a.k.a. The Right Voice e The Left Side alternarsi sui beat di The Next One, una figura importante nel panorama italiano, europeo e mondiale, già da tempo, e che sfrutta la sua ampissima conoscenza della musica, in particolare della cosiddetta black music, per creare dei beats davvero appetitosi. Tra gli ospiti del disco sono presenti Dre Love, che rappresenta Radical Stuff, Master Freeze (Down with da nation) e Dj Mesta (presente insieme a Dre Love in Educazione ed intrattenimento). Tra le ventitré tracce dell'album sono presenti quattro interludi: Hyde Jazz, Chill, Freestyle (Freestyle di Maury B) e Fat loop. L'album si chiude con ...To be continued... che fa da outro all'intero lavoro con il singolo estratto Do The Next Dance, già stampato durante l'anno precedente all'album. Il disco viene registrato e finito a cavallo tra il 1991 e il 1993, ma a causa dei lunghi tempi delle case discografiche italiane e dell'assenza di una label disposta a distribuire il disco, la sua uscita fu posticipata al 1995, anticipato dal singolo Down with da nation (1994) uscito negli Stati Uniti e dal singolo Do The Next Dance, uscito sempre nello stesso anno in Italia. All'interno del disco sono presenti due leggende dell'hip-hop americano come Afrika Bambaataa, fondatore della Zulu Nation e presente nell'Intro e Guru, voce dello storico duo newyorkese GangStarr, presente nella titletrack del disco.
